Ingredients
750 ml Red wine such as a shiraz or merlot
¼ cup Nature’s Gold Manuka honey with Ginger
¾ Cup Water
8 Cloves
2 Cinnamon Sticks
2 Star Anise
4 Cardamom Pods
Garnish – Extra cinnamon sticks, sliced lemon and orange, and cranberries (if available)
Method:
- Add the Wine, water, honey with some of the ginger pieces, cloves, cardamom pods, and star anise to a pan and stir until combined.
- Gently start to heat the ingredients to a medium heat, until they just start to bubble – not boil, and lower the heat to a gentle simmer.
- Cover and simmer for 20 – 25 minutes.
- Serve in a heatproof mug or glass and garnish
